Barnett bought her lucky ticket at the Zmart on Lewis Street in Oxford. Other than tithing her church, she says she doesn’t have any big plans for her winnings. A trip to the mall to go shopping may be in her near future but it will be a small shopping trip, she said. The “Carolina Cash 5” top prize continues to roll. It is up to an estimated $378,000 for tonight’s drawing! To win the top prize, a player must match all five numbers drawn. In last night’s Powerball drawing, two tickets matched four out of five white balls plus the Powerball. One of the two tickets was Power Played. Since the Power Play multiplier was two, the ticket is worth $20,000. It was sold at Wilco on Hawthorne Road in Winston-Salem. The other ticket that matched four out of five white balls plus the Powerball was not Power Played and is worth $10,000. It was sold at Bizzy Bee on North Main Street in High Point. A total of 40,901 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Wednesday, April 15 Powerball drawing, ranging from $20,000 down to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $257,891. No one matched all five white balls plus the Powerball to win the jackpot, so the jackpot is $31 million for the Saturday, April 18 drawing. The NCEL has paid out more than $4.5 million total in instant scratch-off ticket prizes since Monday, April 13. Also since Monday, “Carolina Cash 5” players have won more than $139,000 and “Carolina Pick 3” players have won more than $1 million in prizes.
