RALEIGH - Players may want to go through any old receipts, junk drawers or through papers they have collected in their vehicles to see if they may be holding a Powerball ticket worth $200,000. The clock is ticking and about to expire on an unclaimed "Powerball" ticket that was purchased in Davidson County!

The ticket, which was purchased for the Nov. 5, 2008 Powerball drawing, will expire if not claimed at North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) headquarters by 5 p.m. on May 4, 2009. The ticket that matched the five white balls was purchased at the Pit Stop at 1009 Winston Road in Lexington. The five white balls for that Nov. 5 drawing were:

If not claimed, the Lottery Act designates that half of the unclaimed prize will be distributed to the Education Lottery Fund while the other half will go back into prizes for future games.
