Two North Carolina Powerball players could be holding tickets worth $10,000 each after two tickets matched four out of five white balls in the Saturday, June 6 Powerball drawing. The winning tickets, which have yet to be submitted for claim, were sold at Lowe’s Foods on Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest and at the Short Stop on Highway 210 North in Spring Lake. A total of 26,586 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Saturday, June 6 Powerball drawing, ranging from $10,000 to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $327,003. The jackpot for the Wednesday, June 10 Powerball drawing is an estimated $45 million. The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) has paid out nearly $5.6 million total in instant scratch-off ticket prizes since Thursday, June 4. Also since Thursday, “Carolina Pick 3” players have won more than $1.9 million. “Carolina Pick 4” players have won over $424,000 and 18 tickets were sold that won the top prize of $5,000. “Carolina Cash 5” players have won over $300,000.
