Bulen purchased her winning ticket, worth $256,065.84 after taxes, at Mr. Pete’s Market VI on Brevard Road in Etowah. She told the NCEL that she feels “really fortunate” to have won and plans to save most of her prize. Two North Carolina Powerball players’ tickets matched four out of five white balls and the Powerball in the Wednesday, June 10 drawing. Ray Hatchell of Goldsboro won $20,000 because he Power Played his ticket and the multiplier was two. Hatchell purchased his ticket at the Hasty Mart on North Berkeley Boulevard in Goldsboro. Alan Marks of Charlotte bought the other winning ticket at the Express Stop on University City Boulevard in Charlotte. His ticket was not Power Played and is worth $10,000. A total of 32,491 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Wednesday, June 10 Powerball drawing, ranging from $20,000 to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $215,682. The jackpot for the Saturday, June 13 Powerball drawing is an estimated $59 million. The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) has paid out over $4 million total in instant scratch-off ticket prizes since Monday, June 8. Also since Monday, “Carolina Pick 3” players have won more than $1 million. “Carolina Pick 4” players have won over $298,000 and 27 tickets were sold that won the top prize of $5,000. “Carolina Cash 5” players have won nearly $88,000.
