Edwards purchased his winning ticket, worth $200,178.36 after taxes, at the Xpress Food Mart on South Main Street in Winston-Salem. He said he feels overjoyed and plans to add most of his winnings to his retirement nest egg. Two North Carolina Powerball players’ tickets matched four out of five white balls and the Powerball in the Saturday, June 13 drawing. Each ticket is worth $10,000. Tracy Senter of Wendell purchased her ticket at Wendell Mart on Wendell Boulevard in Wendell. The other winning ticket was sold at Community Stop #1 on South Main Street in Laurinburg and has yet to be submitted for claim. A total of 41,903 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Saturday, June 13 Powerball drawing, ranging from $10,000 to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $375,642. The jackpot for the Wednesday, June 17 Powerball drawing is an estimated $72 million. The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) has paid out over $4.8 million total in instant scratch-off ticket prizes since Thursday, June 11. Also since Thursday, “Carolina Pick 3” players have won more than $1 million. “Carolina Pick 4” players have won over $343,000 and 20 tickets were sold that won the top prize of $5,000. “Carolina Cash 5” players have won nearly $443,000.
