The “Carolina Cash 5” top prize for tonight’s drawing has reached an estimated $150,000! To win the top prize, a player must match all five numbers drawn. In last night’s Powerball drawing, one ticket sold in North Carolina matched four out of five white balls plus the Powerball and is worth $10,000. The ticket was sold at Lick Fork Express on North Mountain Street in Cherryville. A total of 34,084 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Wednesday, Oct. 7 Powerball drawing ranging from $10,000 to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $249,553. No one matched all five white balls plus the Powerball to win the jackpot, so the jackpot for the Saturday, Oct. 10 Powerball drawing is an estimated $25 million.
