In the Saturday, Oct. 10 Powerball drawing, three tickets sold in North Carolina matched four out of five white balls plus the Powerball and are worth $10,000 each. The tickets were sold at Hospital Family Fare on West 1st Street in Winston-Salem, Fast Track on Styers Ferry Road in Lewisville, and Kangaroo Express on Park Road in Charlotte. A total of 35,478 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Saturday, Oct. 10 Powerball drawing ranging from $10,000 to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $269,057. No one matched all five white balls plus the Powerball to win the jackpot, so the jackpot for the Wednesday, Oct. 14 Powerball drawing is an estimated $30 million. The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) has paid out more than $8.3 million total in instant scratch-off ticket prizes since Thursday, Oct. 8. Also since Thursday, “Carolina Pick 3” players have won more than $916,000. “Carolina Pick 4” players have won more than $233,000 and eight tickets won the top prize of $5,000. “Carolina Cash 5” players have won more than $479,000.
