Yogesh Bhatt woke up Sunday morning not realizing he was the top prize winner in the Nov. 7 “Carolina Cash 5” drawing. Then later that morning, his wife saw the winning numbers scroll across their television set and wrote them down to check their ticket. All five numbers matched, winning the Morrisville couple $177,917!

Bhatt says he will use his winnings to send his children to college and to pay down his mortgage. He purchased his winning ticket at Capi’s Deli @ Airport Boulevard on Chapel Hill Road in Morrisville.

In the Nov. 10 “Carolina Cash 5” drawing, one ticket matched all five numbers drawn to win the $92,909 top prize. The ticket was sold at Wilco on Louisburg Road in Raleigh. It has yet to be claimed.

A total of 39,123 North Carolina Powerball players won prizes in the Wednesday, Nov. 11 Powerball drawing ranging from $200 to $3 for a total payout in prizes worth $241,292.
