RALEIGH - The North Carolina Education Lottery (NCEL) is reminding players of a claims deadline approaching for 10 instant scratch-off games. In October, the NCEL officially announced the end of 10 instant scratch-off games effective Oct. 30, 2009. The final claims date for the games listed below, as noted in the October announcement, is Jan. 28, 2010.
In accordance with NCEL policy, all instant game prizes must be claimed within ninety (90) days of the announced end-of-game date. Therefore, all prizes associated with the games listed below must be claimed on or before Jan. 28, 2010. Claims of $600 up to $99,999 must be made at one of the six regional claim centers before 5 p.m. that day while claims of $100,000 and above must be made at NCEL headquarters before 5 p.m. on that day as well. Claims that are mailed to the NCEL must be received within 90 days of the official end of game date. Postmarks will not satisfy the 90-day requirement.
