December brings ‘Colossal’ chances to win

We want to make sure you have some extra cash this holiday, so we’re giving you more chances to win in December. If you’re a member of our Lucke-Rewards Players club, you can enter your tickets for a chance to win these exciting prizes.

We want to make December Dazzling for our players. For our monthly drawing, 25 players will win $5,000. For our weekly drawing, we’re giving ten players $100 in Quick Cash.

December is also your last chance to enter two of our second-chance drawings. If you’re looking to spruce up your home for the New Year, make sure to get your tickets in for the final Dream Makeover Second-Chance drawing. One player will win $25,000 in The Home Depot gift cards. 50 players will win $500 worth of The Home Depot gift cards.

And be sure to enter your tickets into the first Colossal Cash Second-Chance drawing for a chance to win $1 million. One player will win $1 million, three players will win $10,000, and 25 players will win $500.

The deadline to enter both drawings is Monday Dec. 31st. They are scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 9.

And head on over to our Facebook page on December 12th for a chance to win a pack of Big Money Playbook scratch-off tickets. All you have to do is comment on the entry post. Each playbook offers six pages of games. There are over $35 million in total prizes that could be won, including three top prizes of $ 1 million.

Hey Lisa! Typically, we notify winners within 48 hours of the drawing, so our team is in the process of notifying all of the winners via email before the end of the day today.

Hey Bobby! Winners are typically notified by email within 48 hours of the draw day. So for a drawing held on a Wednesday, winners can expect a message by 5 p.m. Friday. We announce a winner’s name only after he or she has responded to a notification and completes the claim process. Hey there Charles, Just because you are a Lucke-Rewards member does not mean you are automatically entered into our second-chance drawings. To enter into these drawings, you must first buy an eligible lottery ticket (they will have a little badge in the upper corner saying "2nd chance"). To enter this ticket into the appropriate second-chance drawing for that ticket, all you need to do is click the "Collect" icon and scan or manually enter the ticket like you do for points. This will automatically enter you into the second-chance drawing. If you are going this already and are still having trouble with your entries being received, you should call our online support team, not the Charlotte office. They can be reached at 1-855-767-1863 and they will help figure out what might be happening.

What is the purpose of logging in the codes for Lottery points? I can see that the second chance lottery is part of it for the high cost scratchers, but how does one "use" the points for the Draw Games? I cannot find any instructions on the website.NC Lottery
Hey Christopher, Lucke-Rewards points are not for purchasing entries for our draw games like Cash 5, Powerball or Mega Millions. Lucke-Rewards is a rewards program where you can use the points you have collected from your scratch-off or draw game tickets and enter Lucke-Rewards drawings for cash or other cool prizes. Hi there Nichole, If you were to win a second-chance or Lucke-Rewards drawing, you would be notified through the email address associated with your account. The winners for all of the 12/5 drawings have been selected and notified, but we don't release their names until they have officially claimed their prizes.

I'm going to enter in every game I can. Hopefully oneday I will win something I would be thankful for 500 dollars. I pray one day I will win big so I can put my son Thru LAW SCHOOL. He graduated in May 2018 from UNC CHAPEL HILL with two bachelor degrees and now studying to take the L SAP. BUT RIGHT NOW I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO GET HIM THRU LAW SCHOOL to graduate to become a lawyer. I live on a fixed income I am disable so it isn't like I'm able to work to send him thru law school. So I pray one day I will win big so my dream will come true to get my son thru law school. He says to bad we don't habe money. Mom you have always lived paycheck to paycheck and I don't want to have to live paycheck to paycheck to get me and family thru. That's why I wanted to go to college and make something out of myself. One day my dream will come true before I pass away. My health isn't getting any better if anything it's getting worse. In December of 2017 lost his leg.NC Lottery

North Carolina lottery has to do better. Gotta give back to the players who actually make the lottery what it is. Always drawing these ugly pick 3 and 4 numbers that no way players are playing(especially those atrocious Pick 4s that are drawn). As I observe Va and other states drawings, they reward their players with good numbers every few weeks. This makes the lottery worth taking a chance on playing. Come on NC you can do better than this. Where is a Quad? 1234 exact, 1357, 2468. Come on reward the players. NC Lottery

I was beyond blessed a few days ago I had $15 in winning tickets in my car took them in after debating with myself to spend it on more tickets or not.I ended up winning $50 on the new $1 Christmas ticket and $50 on the new $5 Christmas ticket.turned around and kept 50 and spent 50 out of the 100.Went back for same new Christmas tickets the $1,$2,$3$5&$10.And won $100 off of the $3 ticket.I told myself that was a blessing cause I been out of work and been worried how to get my kids Christmas and God looked out. Hi Renee, Welcome! We're happy to help explain things. Our second-chance drawings are a little different from the Lucke-Rewards drawings that you use points to enter. Second-chance drawings are directly tied to a specific ticket. You can tell if a ticket has a second-chance drawing associated with it by looking in the upper right corner of the ticket. If there is one, it will have text saying "2nd Chance Game!". To enter into that drawing, all you need to do is scan the ticket. For example, if you buy the "Colossal Cash" scratch-off ticket, when you scan that ticket to collect the points, you will also be automatically entered into the second-chance drawing for the $1 million. You will find that the type of comment entry will be different than the past few Facebook promotions, but the post on the 12th will have exact details! It will run from December 12th-Dec 30th with the drawing taking place on January 2nd.
