Surey you didnt think these tickets are printed and NC lottery has no idea of where the winners are and the amount NC Lottery
We're not sure where you got this information from, but we can assure you that we have strict security procedures in place to ensure that no one know where a winning ticket is located until the lucky winner scratches it.

3/13/2019 11:40 - Angela F.

No rumor mill. I know how the printing secure process works for tickets. There are programs that list all ticket numbers..pack numbers..and winning amounts on each ticket. This program feed the press..tickets are printed..and a secure list is given to the customer. Think about it..how else would they know that ticket was indeed a winner and the amount.

3/12/2019 10:53 - Denver G.

@ANGIE F. That's a pretty bold statement to make. Do you have any proof to back that up? Or is it just something that you heard from someone who heard it from someone who heard it from someone. AKA the rumor mill.........

3/09/2019 04:07 - Angela F.

The lottery knows exactly which roll and what ticket on that roll has winners. They are provided a list from the printer with this information. Dont let them tell you any different.

All Of My Questions Were Cleared Up By Everyone Else!! Thanks Everybody.

3/01/2019 06:39 - nc s.

I've ask this question numerous times without an answer. What game in all the years the NC Lottery has operated has sold nearly all tickets or winners before the games was ended by NC Lottery? Why was the old X the Cash games not allowed to sell out seeing as though it was such a popular game you've brought the exact game back out? Show some integrity and quit controlling the system and let the odds play out if they're true. Give the consumer a fair shot.

3/01/2019 06:17 - nc s.

NC LOTTERY states "All of our scratch-off games undergo a post-game review to ensure that the odds were as advertised." What is this process that guarantees you printed the amounted of winners stated on your website? Is this a number thrown out to fool the consumer or is there actually a process that validates it? Is this why games are ended early because you know the amount off winning tickets you stated were printed actually weren't. That's why not one game has been allowed to sell out because the proof would be there for everyone to see.

3/01/2019 06:10 - nc s.

How is that a post game review/audit? How do we know the stated winning tickets are actually being produced if it's never been validated? How are the odds in winning stated by the NC Lottery any where near accurate if no one checks or can check if the tickets were actually printed with the amount of winners stated? You may want to do a survey and see if your consumers are playing in hopes of winning any top prize which is over a thousand or just the million dollar prizes as you state. There are plenty of top prizes left on those games that people play to win-not just the largest prize. The consumer would be a fool if they played every game just hoping to win the largest prize as in some cases are only two. I don't know about you but 5,000 - 1,000,000 is a top prize and life changing to most people. What do they pay you all?

3/01/2019 05:24 - NC Lottery

@NC S. During the post-game review we account for prizes paid and total sales. We do not check scratch-offs for winning tickets after they have been picked up. As you mentioned we typically pick up a game if its top prizes have been claimed, if we release a new similar game, or if sales of that game have dropped off. We picked up Extreme Millions because all the $10 million top prizes were claimed. We would not be able to continue to sell a game after all top prizes have been claimed, as players would lose interest in that game.

3/01/2019 02:17 - nc s.

To use Extreme Millions as an example how many tickets were printed total and how many were sold before the game was pulled?NC Lottery
We will be collecting this information throughout the time period that players can still redeem winning Extreme Millions tickets. You can make a request at playerinfo@lotterync.net for this information and we can provide it when it is available.

3/01/2019 01:57 - nc s.

Can you name one game in all the years the NC Lottery has operated where all the so called printed tickets were close to being sold before you take the game away? It does seem that the very first Tuesday crap was so you can pull games you see customers are improving there chances of winning on. The same as a finance company making you pay all interest in the beginning your putting out a majority of losing tickets then pulling the games when the odds are actually for the consumer. There is no Integrity but Greed. As I stated it's clear to see with the way the lottery advertises it's odds of winning on so called printed tickets that the consumer will never see because they can pull a game and give a BS excuse the odds are more against the consumer than stated. It's a controlled environment where the tactics they're allowed to use should be illegal. Any other company/corp could not get away with that false advertisement.

3/01/2019 01:40 - nc s.

@NC Lottery, What type of post game review do the scratch offs go through. The only way to tell if the lottery and the printing company aren't scamming the consumer is to have the unsold already so called printed tickets scratched to reveal the so called remaining winners-which is a lot of scratching. I know you offer the consumer the opportunity to view drawings but I would love to see this post game review you speak of. Is there more information about this review or a video? Also it's normal protocol for NC Lottery to says a game ends because all top prizes are sold or no one is interested but Tony brings up a valid point as I know Extreme Millions was a popular games and you didn't use the same excuse but said when new games come out. Why not let a game play out and let the consumer reap the rewards for a change? After all isn't the NC Lottery all about Integrity? NC Lottery
Hi NC S. See our comment reply above.

2/27/2019 08:56 - Henry B.

I purchase Megaplier and Power Play tickets for eight drawings, cost $120.00 per ticket. When I enter the tickets for Lucke Reward points I only receive 100 points per ticket; not even 120 points. However, I've noticed when I enter an $80.00 ticket I sometimes receive 160 points; double the cost of the ticket. What is the Lucke Reward system's "Ticket calculation cut-off cost" in order to receive fair ticket point compensation. NC Lottery
Hey there Henry, We hear you. The Lucke-Rewards point system is meant to add an element of luck in the hopes that it becomes more fun and exciting for our players! For draw games, our players could have their points multiplied up to 5 times the ticket price. Right now, it is possible to buy a $120 draw ticket and get 100 points, but it is also possible to get up to 500 points. We hope to have an updated point structure for our draw game tickets very soon where the minimum points you will receive will be the exact cost of the ticket.

2/26/2019 07:55 - Shemece H.

Hello NC Lottery.... I was wondering when will be the next time ya'll 2X 3X 4X 5X or even 10X the points when scanning tickets... I'm just sitting here waiting for that moment...NC Lottery
Hey there Shemece, The chance to be awarded more points when scanning a ticket into Lucke-Rewards is there, but much like playing the lottery, how many points a ticket is worth is a matter of luck.

2/26/2019 02:43 - Mike H.

NC Lottery, I have a question for you so hopefully you can settle an argument for me. Is it illegal for retailers to save old tickets for customers??? Can they lose their lottery license??? Also is it totally legal for someone to take tickets out of a trash can of a business??? Thank you. NC Lottery
Hey there Mike, Once a lottery ticket is sold to a player, that ticket becomes his or her property and it is up to them to take care of it and maintain possession of it. It's not against the rules or laws for any other person age 18 or older to pick up a discarded lottery ticket that has been thrown in the trash.

2/26/2019 01:54 - April B.

Can someone from SC win on luckE rewards?!!NC Lottery
Hey there April, Folks from other states are allowed to participate in our Lucke-Rewards and second-chance drawings as long as they purchased their tickets in North Carolina.

2/25/2019 08:20 - Angela F.

At Tony..OMG..I just did a quick tally of the remaining prize dollars for Extreme Millions..There is over 40 million dollars in prize money remaining. That's ALOT. How can the odds on these tickets be correct ..or anywhere near correct if this many dollars are pulled?? NC Lottery
The odds for scratch-offs are set when a scratch-off game is released. As winning and non-winning tickets are sold each day, the odds of winning go up and down for the rest of the game. We often tell players that winning tickets are distributed at random throughout the entire printing run of the game, but it's important to remember that the same goes for non-winning tickets. So when a game is in the process of being ended, it's not just that winning tickets that are being picked up. All of our scratch-off games undergo a post-game review to ensure that the odds were as advertised.

2/25/2019 07:58 - Angela F.

At Linda C.. Girl..if you look and do spreadsheets like I do monthly..you would be shocked at the same people that win..week after week.. 2. 3. 4..5 even 6 times. Kinda odd don't you think?

2/23/2019 08:57 - Linda C.

Has anyone noticed that a Timothy Bryson has one 2 times recently on second chance drawings? What are the chances of that? This has me wondering if this is all rigged! NC Lottery
Hi Linda, winning in one drawing doesn't disqualify a player from having good luck again! The more entries a player makes, the more chances he or she has to win. We don't know how many entries this player made, but it’s possible they made a lot of them. Of course, having even ONE entry in a drawing gives you a chance to win!

2/22/2019 09:29 - TONY S.

Hey NCEL. How dare you turning your back on the players by going out in full force pulling tickets with big prizes remaining. For example the Extreme Millions had 3 1Mill prizes remaining and were hitting much better big prizes than the Colossal joke you came out with! Give the players a chance to win all the prizes that you advertise. It's not about monthly slogans it's about honesty and integrity. Come out with new tickets every 2 months instead of pulling top prizes every month and feeding deep greedy pockets! Stop the dishonesty! Feel free to respond with another generic innocent sounding response. NC Lottery
Hi Tony, many factors go into the decision to end a game. The most common reason is that all the top prizes are won. We also may end a game if people stop purchasing that game, or if a new similar version of a gaming is going to be released.

2/22/2019 01:47 - cheryl c.

what will be the next 30 dollar scratch-off.since extreme millions is ending.NC Lottery
The next $30 scratch-off ticket, called $300 Million Supreme Riches, will be here in time for First Tuesday in April.

2/21/2019 05:14 - Ashley S.

When tickets are picked up on ending games are prizes taken off as tickets are picked upNC Lottery
Hi Ashley, No, the prizes remaining on the website are not updated with any prizes on the collected tickets from ending games.

2/21/2019 10:33 - Rosalind C.

I love playing scratch offs, particularly the $20 -$30 dollar tickets. More and more retailers refuse to tell you what number the roll is on. As with others, I favor specific numbers. Can the retailer do this? Some say it's their policy while others say it slows down business regardless of how empty the store is. If it's my $30 why shouldn't I get to know?NC Lottery
Hey Rosalind, The lottery does not have a policy in place regarding this. Each retailer has different accounting practices when it comes to how they sell lottery tickets. We leave it up to them to decide how best to manage that. If you are very interested in knowing which number on the roll you are purchasing, another suggestion would be to visit a different retailer until you find one that will share.

2/19/2019 05:43 - Laconya G.

NC Lottery.....Are we suppose to keep the scratch off tickets after you scan them in...NC Lottery
Hey there Laconya, After you have scanned a ticket and confirmed that it has been entered, you do not need to hold onto the actual ticket.

2/19/2019 05:29 - greg s.

patiently waiting on my big win

2/19/2019 03:25 - ginger f.

Hello, on the drawings lucke-rewards-when ya'll email us on the winnings, and we don't see it the first time? do you email us again to let us know we won? or do ya'll call us?NC Lottery
There's no need to worry, Ginger! If we don't hear back from a winner after sending them an email, we will give them a phone call and will even send a certified letter if we still don't hear back.

2/19/2019 01:14 - Michael R.

2/18/2019 05:03 - arvin j.

On the 12th I posted 326 and in five days it came! Another payday would be great. And it's time for 826...500.. and 326 will repeat!. With the games being pulled there is over 65 million dollars combined , I wonder if they were overlooked and trashed or were they ever in circulation? Odds should be stated as predicted odds based on previous tickets sales. The odds of even a break even prize are way off since all ticket will never sell out.

2/18/2019 03:59 - Denver G.

Yep, and April showers will bring May flowers that my bees will turn into honey, now show me the money.

2/18/2019 02:51 - Denver G.

Hey LZ, is the next/new $30 ticket coming out in March, April or May??? NC Lottery
We're not fooling when we say it'll be here in April!

2/18/2019 12:35 - Zachary H.

If you’re looking to donate to the lavish lifestyle of the corporate lottery workers, just play Colossal Cash!! All that’s in circulation is losing tickets!!! You may break even...if you’re lucky!!! NCEL=SCAM

2/18/2019 10:34 - Herman S.

Hello NCEL, kindly confirm the number of entries as of today for the following second chance promotions: Romantic Riches, 2019 Multiply The Cash and Extreme Millions Second Chance. NC Lottery
No problem! Here are the numbers: Romantic Riches has 1,303,037 entries; 2019 Multiply the Cash has 3,808,880 entries; and Extreme Millions has 443,389 entries.

2/18/2019 09:29 - tim s.

I have a question why don’t you have a option to play 25 cents on a pick 3 or 4 number it would be great source of revenue and would let players play cheaper.NC Lottery
Thanks for your suggestion, Tim. At this time, those games are not set up to allow a 25 cent play, but we are always looking for ways to improve and will share your feedback with the folks who create those games.

2/18/2019 12:17 - Sherron K.

How do I imput numbers in for the 2nd chance drawing?NC Lottery
Hey there Sherron! To submit an entry for a second-chance drawing, all you have to do is log into your account and click the "Collect" icon. From there, you will be prompted to scan or manually enter the barcode number located on the front of your ticket. By doing that, you will be automatically entered to any second-chance drawings associated with a particular ticket. Let us know if you need any more help!

2/17/2019 10:28 - Michael R.

, do I check my tickets I don't know who I got lots scanned inNC Lottery
Hi there Michael, If you are trying to check how many entries you have for a particular drawing, you can do that over on the "Draws" page. Hope this helps!

2/17/2019 02:46 - roscoe s.

will there be another $ 30.00 to replace the one that is ending ?NC Lottery
Most definitely! Our team is working on a new game now--so stay tuned.

2/16/2019 08:34 - Clarence H.

I would like to know how second chance winners are selected. Whether they are chosen by area or the amount of entries.NC Lottery
Hi there Clarence, Second-chance drawings are done with a random number generator. Each entry is assigned a random number, and then the generator picks one. There is no other factor involved with how a winner is chosen.

2/16/2019 05:33 - Mary G.

I'm very curious about Cash 5 and the other daily drawings which are centered in NC alone. After each draw, is the set of balls replaced with fresh (new) ones? Or, after noting the winning balls, are these placed back into the machines? And someone on here has mentioned that "practice draws" are performed on these daily draws. Can you more fully explain the drawing process? I haven't found anything on the site which answers this question. Thanks! These are my favorite games to play. NC Lottery
We're glad you enjoy these games, Paul! The live drawing process is very long and detailed, but we have a video that goes through each and every step here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sohkunXbA38&t=217s

2/16/2019 11:31 - nc s.

You didn't answer how much money the Lottery never gives the consumer the possibility to win. The Lottery says every ticket for every game has already be printed and is just waiting to be put in rotation. Why does the Lottery wastes all these resources printing all these tickets when not one single game has sold a majority of all so called printed tickets? NC Lottery
Hey NC, The blog team is here to help, but we don't have those numbers on-hand. For specific questions like this, we recommend sending an email to player.info@lotterync.net and someone will work to find the info you are looking for. Thanks!

2/16/2019 08:23 - Sarah B.

Hey NC, The lottery does not know where the winning tickets are located until they are claimed. We make every effort to keep a game in circulation until all top prizes have been won, but there are other factors that influence the decision to end a game as well, including if players are not buying those games anymore or if a new game is scheduled to come out. Since the ticket distribution is random, it is entirely possible for all of the top prizes to be claimed rather fast, and does in fact happen from time-to-time.

2/16/2019 02:16 - nc s.

With the 17 games that are ending how much money in prizes did the consumer never get a chance to win because they were never put out in circulation? I know the Lottery always says a game will end win all top prizes are sold. So is that saying the Lottery does have control in knowing when these top prizes will go into circulation which seems to be when they've made plenty of profit off a particular ticket. What if all the top prizes are sold quick which is reasonable if it's truly random even though it's never happened-odd. How many scratch off games have ended with a majority of all winners sold since that's what the lottery bases it's odds of winning on-NONE.

2/15/2019 11:46 - Joel D.

How do I scan a scratch offNC Lottery
Hey Joel! Scanning a scratch-off is easy. All you have to do is download the NC Lottery app. Then, you click the "Collect" icon if you want to scan it for points, or the "Check" icon if you just want to see if it's a winner. Then, you click "Scan Now" and hold your phone's camera over the barcode on the front of your ticket. Hope this helps!

2/15/2019 09:50 - Ralph C.

Why are you getting rid of the 10 taxes paid when there is on more big prize out there?NC Lottery
Many factors go into the decision to end a game. When all the top prizes are claimed, a game will end. But if a game is no longer being bought by players or if other similar games are scheduled to come out, those are also reasons a game might be ended.

2/15/2019 04:38 - Kya J.

Are any of these tickets still selling anywhere? NC Lottery
Hi Kya, Once games are moved into the "end of game process", they get picked up from all stores by our team. Since they have to visit more than 7,000 stores across the state, the process takes up to six weeks and started several weeks ago for these games.

2/15/2019 04:28 - Denver G.
