Mega Millions and Powerball players hoping to get lucky this St. Patrick’s Day weekend will have two chances at big jackpots that stand at $1.415 billion combined.

A Mega Millions winner tonight would have the choice of taking home the $815 million jackpot as an annuity or $385.1 million in cash. If won, the jackpot would be the sixth largest in Mega Millions history.
A Powerball winner on Saturday would have the choice of taking home the $600 million jackpot as an annuity or $285.9 million in cash.

“We have seen lots of luck lately with big wins and hopefully this St. Patrick’s Day weekend can bring even more luck with a jackpot win,” said Mark Michalko, executive director of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Good luck to everyone going for the big prizes this weekend.”

While North Carolinians keep trying for the jackpot, others big wins occurred in both games recently. Three lucky tickets in North Carolina matched four white balls and the red Powerball in Wednesday’s drawing to win $50,000. The wins occurred:

• At the Eagles Express on Knightdale Boulevard in Knightdale
• In Waxhaw using Online Play
• At the Food Lion on East Lexington Avenue in High Point
