One lucky ticket purchased at a Burlington convenience store for Friday’s Mega Millions drawing won a $2 million prize.

The lucky winner purchased the $3 Megaplier ticket at Philomena Inc. at 3503 South Church St. in Burlington and matched the numbers on all five white balls to win $1 million. Because the ticket was a Megaplier ticket, the prize doubled to $2 million.

The $2 million prize ranked as the largest won nationally in Friday’s drawing. The odds of matching numbers on all five white balls are 1 in 12.6 million.

Other big wins occurred in lottery games across North Carolina on Friday, including:

• A $10,000 Mega Millions prize won with a ticket purchased in Durham.
• A $100,000 Cash 5 jackpot won with a ticket purchased in Cullowhee.
• An $83,514 Fast Play jackpot won with a ticket purchased in Monroe.
• A $22,500 Keno prize with a ticket purchased in Jamestown.

All the winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.

No one won Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot. The jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing climbs to $148 million as an annuity, or $67.8 million cash. The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302 million.
