Wanda Waiters of Durham took a chance on a $5 scratch-off and won a $200,000 prize.

Waiters purchased her Mega Bucks ticket from the Refuel on Guess Road in Durham.

She collected her prize at lottery headquarters Tuesday and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $143,001.

Mega Bucks debuted in June with eight $200,000 top prizes. Two $200,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
