Wheel of Fortune star to attend NCEL 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Vanna White, longtime co-host of one of TV’s most popular game shows, will leave her Wheel of Fortune giant letter board behind for a night as one of the grand marshals of a NASCAR race.

Instead of turning letters, White will get to say the most famous words in racing, “Drivers. Start your engines!” at the NCEL 200 Gander Outdoor Truck race on Friday, May 17.

Her appearance marks the start of a Wheel of Fortune scratch-off game by the N.C. Education Lottery. The new game features four top prizes of $200,000 and two second-chance drawings with prizes of eight trips to Los Angeles to see the Wheel of Fortune set and compete for a chance to win up to $1 million.

Vanna will spend an afternoon and evening at Charlotte Motor Speedway. If you like Wheel of Fortune and NASCAR truck racing, her visit will give you the chance to meet Vanna and watch as she gets a first-hand look at a NASCAR race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Events during Vanna’s visit include:

Vanna’s appearance on stage besides the Education Lottery’s booth at the speedway’s Fan Zone from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
A ‘meet and greet’ with Vanna with chance for selfies and signed autographs. To meet Vanna, purchase two $5 Wheel of Fortune Scratch off tickets from the lottery’s display at the Fan Zone. The $10 purchase also gives you the chance to spin the "Wheel of Fortune" prize wheel to win additional prizes.

After the Fan Zone appearance, Vanna will head inside the track. She’ll attend the drivers’ meeting, get a look at pit road, and meet all the NASCAR drivers competing in that night’s race as they are introduced to NASCAR fans. Then, she’ll perform her grand marshal duties and jump into a pace car for a lap around the track.

If you miss Vanna at the race, you’ll still have a chance to win a trip to see her at her show in L.A. Watch for the start of our Wheel of Fortune game on Tuesday, May 14.

NO free tickets for me this year, was hoping to win, saved points 9 months, over 1000 entries, and still waiting on the winning email, LOL. How about a code to redeem for tickets like last year and years prior?? NC Lottery

Hi Katasha, If you're running into the daily limit when entering tickets, we suggest entering your tickets more often instead of letting them build up.

Seriously,nobody buys 75 to 100 tickets a day and still yet you allow them to enter these outrageous amounts of entries! As a past winner of a 1000.00 drawing-I sleep good at night knowing I won it with tickets I purchased myself. It still amazes me that you let this go on and offend your most loyal customers.

Hi Katasha, When the Lucke-Rewards program was originally created, the daily limit was part of that approval. Over the years we have received lots of feedback from our players about this. Some wish the limit was higher and some wish it was lower. At this time we don't have any plans to change the daily limit.

Hi Shannon, Vanna is joining the Grand Marshall prize winner on the track at the start of the race, and they will kick off the race together.
