You can use your Lucke-Rewards points to enter a variety of different drawings for cash and other prizes.

Account Questions

How do I get started?
Once you’re signed in, get started by clicking on your username in the upper right corner of the website (or by clicking on Account in the bottom right corner of the app). This will show your dashboard, with your points balance and any drawing entries you might have. Online Play points are earned automatically. If you have purchased tickets from a retailer, you can enter your tickets (or scan with the app) to earn points. If not, you can view activities that you can complete to earn points by selecting "Earn Points" from the drop down under Lucke-Rewards in the main menu (or clicking on Earn in the bottom menu in the app).

Once you've earned points, you can select Lucke-Rewards Draws from Lucke-Rewards in the main menu (or Rewards in the app) to see what drawings are available and enter with your points for more chances to win!
How do I deactivate my Lucke-Rewards account?
The NC Education Lottery does not delete NC Education Lottery accounts. However, you can deactivate your account by calling the Customer Support Center to request deactivation. Once you submit your request, you will no longer be able to sign in to your account or participate in the Lucke-Rewards program with the deactivated account, which will include the loss of points, drawing entries, email preferences, and other account-related settings.

Accounts that have been verified for Online Play cannot be deactivated, but can be disabled upon request. If you have upgraded your account and wish to exclude yourself from participating in all account-related activity, use the Self-Exclusion option under Limits in My Account. Please note that self-exclusions cannot be reversed.
Can I combine accounts or transfer points?
No. Points cannot be transferred from one account to another, and accounts cannot be combined, even if both accounts belong to you. Refer to the NC Education Lottery Terms of Service and Use that specify only one account per user. If you need to make changes to your account such as updating your email address, you should not create a new account. Instead, click on your username in the upper right corner of the website to select Login & Security from your dashboard. In the app, select "Account" in the bottom right corner and then click on the arrow next to your name at the top. You can update your account at any time, with the exception of your username.
What is self-exclusion?
Self- exclusion allows you to exclude yourself from digital instants or other Online Play games for a predetermined amount of time. The program is intended to help people control their play. By entering the program, you are barred from playing digital instant games , buying online draw games, as well as Lucke-Rewards activity for a time period set by you ranging from one month to permanently. Once you set a time period for self-exclusion, it cannot be changed. Information about participants in the program is confidential.
Where do email notifications come from?
All notifications will arrive from play@email.nclottery.com, accounting@mail.nclottery.com, customersupport@mail.nclottery.com, onlineplay@mail.nclottery.com, and luckerewards@mail.nclottery.com, which are authorized senders for the NC Education Lottery. Please make sure you allow emails from these addresses.

Ticket Entry and Earning Points

How do I earn points?
You earn points by entering the codes from your retail tickets into your account (or scanning on the app) as well as for all Online Play purchases. You can also earn points by completing activities available to you under "Earn Points." These activities are unique to you and upon successful completion, such as answering all of the questions in a survey and submitting it, you will receive your points automatically.
Will my points ever expire?
Points can expire if you don’t sign in to your account for 13 consecutive months. But it's so easy... just visit your account, earn some points, and keep entering drawings!
What tickets are eligible for Lucke-Rewards?
All NC Education Lottery tickets that include a Lucke-Rewards Entry Code are eligible for Lucke-Rewards. Scratch-off are eligible for entry as long as the game is eligible for claims. Eligible draw games include Powerball, Mega Millions, Cash 5, Lucky for Life, Pick 4, Pick 3, Keno, and Fast Play games. The Lucke-Rewards Entry Code on a draw game ticket expires 180 days from the purchase date printed on the ticket. Purchases made through Online Play including draw games and digital instant games receive points automatically. Free play digital instant games are not eligible for Lucke-Rewards.
My ticket says it has a 2nd Chance promotion. What is that and how do I enter?
Second Chance promotions are drawings that are open exclusively to players who have purchased or entered the eligible game(s). If you enter a ticket with a 2nd Chance promotion, in most cases you will receive your points and entries automatically when you enter the ticket. That means even more opportunities to win. In some cases, you may be asked to opt-in to receive your entries. If you opt-in, you will receive your entries automatically. If you opt-out, you will not receive entries for that ticket, and that is irreversible for that ticket. However, you can change your opt-in status for future tickets when you enter them, or by visiting the drawing details screen for that particular promotion.
What numbers do I enter?
Please refer to the diagrams on the Ticket Entry page to be sure you are entering the correct numbers. For each scratch-off ticket, enter the Ticket Number, which is the 12-digit number on the back of the ticket above the barcode in the form XXX-XXXXXX-XXX. Then enter the Entry Number, which is the 12-digit number on the front of the ticket located in the scratch off area in the form XXXXXXXX-XXXX. Be sure to scratch the ticket completely to find the full Entry Number. For draw game tickets (like Powerball®), the Lucke-Rewards Entry Code contains 25 letters and numbers separated by dashes (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) and is located on the front of the ticket.
Can I scan my tickets for quicker ticket entry?
Yes, ticket entry with the app is a breeze. Just scan the bar code on your ticket using your device's camera. For scratch off tickets scan the barcode located under the scratch off coating. For draw game tickets scan the barcode located under the Lucke-Rewards 25 digit code.
How many Lucke-Rewards points do I get for each ticket?
The number of points awarded on each ticket will vary. An eligible ticket will earn at least the same number of points as the price of the ticket. For example, a $5 scratch-off ticket or a $5 Carolina Cash 5 wager on one ticket will earn at least 5 points. However, sometimes tickets may earn MORE points as a bonus. After submitting the entry numbers from each ticket, the number of points you have been awarded will appear on the page.
My ticket entry is not being accepted. What can I do?
If you have a scratch-off ticket, check your ticket to confirm that it is an eligible game. Next, confirm that you are entering the correct digits from your ticket. Refer to the Ticket Entry page for help finding the Entry and Ticket numbers. Then, check that all the scratch-off covering has been removed from around the Entry Number and is not causing a "0" to look like an "8," for example. If you still cannot enter the ticket, please contact Customer Support. If you have a draw game ticket, make sure it has a Lucke-Rewards Entry Code printed on it and is still within the eligible time period of 180 days from purchase.
Why do I get pending points with my Pick 3 or Pick 4 Lucke-Rewards Entry Code?

Since tickets for these games may be canceled within an established period of time up to the draw, players may enter their tickets after purchasing but the points will be pending for up to 24 hours after the draw. Pending points for a canceled Pick 3 or Pick 4 ticket will be removed and will not post to your account.

If you buy your Pick 3 or Pick 4 ticket with Online Play, you immediately receive your Lucke-Rewards points. Pick 3 and Pick 4 tickets purchased with Online Play cannot be canceled.

How can I be sure that my ticket entry has been submitted?
When you submit your entry, you will see a confirmation message identifying the ticket number of the entry and telling you that your entry has been recorded. You can also see your entries by clicking "Points History."
Once I've entered my ticket information, do I need to keep the original ticket in case I win a prize?
No. After the ticket information is successfully submitted as an entry, the original ticket is not required to confirm your points.
Do I have to wait for all of the drawings to occur to enter my draw game tickets into Lucke-Rewards?
No, you can enter tickets for Lucke-Rewards points immediately. However, points for Pick 3 and Pick 4 tickets purchased at retail locations will be pending for up to 24 hours after the draw. Make sure you enter your Entry Code from the ticket into Lucke-Rewards PRIOR to claiming/cashing in a winning ticket. A retailer may not be able to return a validated winning ticket to you. For multiple draw tickets, the Entry code will only be printed on the first exchange ticket.
May I mail in my tickets for Lucke-Rewards?
No. Eligible tickets must be submitted through the website or app. Tickets sent via any other method, including US Mail, drop-off, etc., will be discarded.
Why did I get locked out of ticket entry?
You may only enter up to 75 tickets per day.

Drawings and Prizes

How do I redeem my Lucke-Rewards Points?
Your Lucke-Rewards points can be used to enter drawings for cash and prizes. Current options are shown on the Lucke-Rewards Draws screen, along with the number of points per entry. You will see a confirmation page and also be able to see your entries in your dashboard. You can request as many drawing entries as you want, provided you have enough points. There may be more than one drawing option available at a time. Prizes offered will change from time to time, so be sure to check back often to see what's new.
What are 2nd Chance drawings?
Second Chance promotions are drawings that are open exclusively to players who have purchased the eligible game(s).
What are my odds of winning a drawing?
Odds of winning a prize will vary based on the total number of entries that are received for a drawing and the total number of entries that you have submitted.
Can a player win more than once in a Lucke-Rewards drawing?
No. If a drawing has more than one winner, then an individual player may only win once.
Can I enter a drawing more than once?
Yes! You may enter any drawing as many times as you wish, provided you have enough points to order multiple entries.
Can I cancel my drawing entries?
No. Once you spend points for a drawing entry, those points cannot be refunded.
How are players contacted if they are winners?
Winners' names and hometowns are posted on the website following the validation of the winners. Winners are notified by the NCEL or its designee via the phone number and/or email address that they provided in their accounts, which is why it is important to keep your profile information up-to-date.
